Voice-overs

WHAT IS A VOICE OVER?

Voice overs or VO's are when an actor / voice over artist reads a script (usually for an ad of some kind) and then a music and/or sound fx bed is added underneath hence the voice is "over" the bed. Audio Books we often find these are really more of a 'voice' with no over.

All of these services and the associated editing to tidy it all up and piece together afterwards are possible in our Red Stairs Suite which has a vocal booth, the latest version of Pro Tools, excellent microphones including the "John Laws' EV RE20 and other classic broadcast / announcer mic's such as the Shure SM7.

Most recenty in 2015 we have been doing a huge project for General Motors Ford (USA). We have been recording all the key words for the new range of car voice recognition systems with over 200 lines of text and 60+ Speakers. Peter Holz has been overseeing the project and all of our other engineers have been working on it around the clock.
